Fakro LST attic stairs provides an easy and safe access to the attic. The heavy-duty scissors construction makes stair folding possible. 1.5" thick, white, finished wooden door with an approximate R-value of 5.2 significantly reduces heat loss. A peripheral seal in the lower part of the box guarantees 1st class tightness. The scissors system of folding the stair and the possibility to lock the hatch in a fully open position ensure an ease and safety of operation. The S-shaped side strings give a modern appearance and perform the role of a handrail. Stair is very well balanced. It unfolds and folds almost by itself with minimum force. It is equipped with pitch adjustment feature. 2 pair of springs: 1 supports operation of stair, the other helps open and close door. Custom wheels prevent floor from scratching. High-quality stair with anti-slip steps and great stability. Metal extension rod and finished trim around the door (to cover drywall) included. 2 year 100% warranty. Standard ceiling heights 7'6" - 9"6". Ladder length/height may be adjusted by adding or removing step segments (step model No. LSS 31). 1 step increases 8" in ceiling heights.
