Cabot® VOC Semi-Transparent Deck And Siding Stain
These are deep penetrating, linseed oil-based stains that beautify and protect exterior wood. These lightly pigmented stains enhance the natural beauty of the wood by allowing the grain, texture, and color variations within the wood to show through. They are water-repellent and, when properly applied, won´t crack, peel, or blister. Use on exterior wood decking, siding, shingles, shakes, and roofs. They are especially effective on rough-sawn surfaces; and excellent results are obtained on premium grade lumber such as cedar, fir, pine, cypress, spruce, redwood, and plywood panel siding. Dries in 24 to 48 hours to a natural flat finish. Apply evenly with a brush or spray. Best results can be obtained by using a high-quality, natural bristle brush. If you must spray, always backbrush immediately after each section is coated to ensure a proper penetration. Recommended tip sizes for spray application are 0.013" to 0.015" at 1000 P.S.I. to 1500 P.S.I. with a fan width of 8" to 10"; 1 gun. Covers approximately 450 sq. ft. to 650 sq. ft. per gallon; on rough surfaces, 200 sq. ft. to 300 sq. ft. per gallon. Clean up with mineral spirits.
