1.  Remove, or cover the mirror glass with tape. Coat the frame and base with gold spray paint. Let dry completely.

2.  Brush on gel stain lightly, then quickly blot off with crumpled plastic wrap to give it an uneven, gnarled appearance. Let dry.

3.  Highlight any embossed areas with the metallic pen for gilded appearance.

4.  Reinstall the mirror glass, or remove tape.
