Stick, WaterPEX tubing is a cross-linked polyethylene tubing used for potable water applications. WaterPEX is manufactured without an oxygen barrier. Temperature - Pressure: Maximum working pressure: 160 P.S.I. at 73.4 deg. F./23 deg. C.; 100 P.S.I. at 180 deg. F./80 deg. C.; 80 P.S.I. at 200 deg. F./93 deg. C. Specfications: System shall be plumbed using Watts WaterPEX cross-linked polyethylene pipe, and all joints shall be made using Watts brass CrimpRing and/or poly alloy CrimpRing fittings using either the Watts copper CrimpRing or stainless steel CinchClamp crimping methods as outlined in the Watts WaterPEX installation guidelines. Watts WaterPEX tubing is 100 P.S.I. at 180 deg. F./80 deg. C. Manufactured in accordance with ASTM-876 and ASTM F877 to SDR-9 dimensional standards. It is listed by NSF 14 and 61 for use in potable water systems. It is labeled B137.5 which indicates it is compliant to the CSA Standard B137.5. CL-R (Chlorine Resistance Constant Recirculation). PEX tubing cannot be solvent welded. Caution-Do not use any pipe dope or thread sealing compound as damage to fittings or pipe can result.
