1. Set up

New Members who have joined the Ecommerce Platform will be able to begin the setup of their web sites by completing the following steps in order:

Choose either a subdomain [] or a purchase a unique domain name to build the template on such as [].

If you are choosing a subdomain, you will be able to get started in the template editor as soon as the Ecommerce staff has received and processed your Ecommerce agreement.

Registering a Unique Domain Name

If you choose to use a unique domain name, you will need to register the domain and and also acquire an SSL certificate. SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer, the protocol that creates a secure, encrypted connection between a browser and a server. To use it, you must first obtain a certificate and install it on your web server. Certificates are typically installed on pages that require end-users to submit sensitive information over the internet like credit card details or passwords. Example pages include payment pages, online forms and log in pages. The Ecommerce department will procure the SSL for your web site on your behalf. A yearly charge to register the SSL of $100.00 will be added to your invoices [add date?]. We will request your information including a contact to verify the business and domain. Our team will then use to generate the SSL certificate and send it to our developers for activation of your page. It is imperative that you provide a contact that will be able to respond to the activation email from The time frame to complete this process can be a few hours up to 48 hours to verify the domain and distribute the SSL.

2. Images

Members will be able to upload images of their stores, products, events, etc. to their unique asset folder area to be used on their homepage. This asset folder will reside in the asset library at

Members are responsible for images placed on their homepage and should refrain from uploading and using objectionable or crass material.

Image Gallery

Members can create and display image galleries on their home page. Image galleries are created within the Page Editor by selecting Image Gallery after selecting 'Add New Content Block' button. An Image Gallery will display on the homepage and can include the gallery name, gallery date, primary image if selected, and display up to 5 thumbnail images of gallery contents when the user selects the gallery for review.  Members will be prompted to add images to their Asset library which will then be available for selection to the new gallery. The Gallery Info box will display for members to enter the gallery heading, gallery title, gallery date, and then to select the images from their library. If members do not have images in their library, clicking add assets will allow them to upload images from their local device.

3. Activation

The activation of your site will be complete once the following steps have been taken:

1. Member completes Ecommerce Agreement agreeing to the policies and procedures related to the store locator, micro-site template, and ship to store program. Upon completing the agreement complete with a ship to store notification email address, desired web site name, and desired level of ecommerce participation, the ecommerce team will proceed with activation.

2. If the member is using a unique domain name [] then the ecommerce team will procure an SSL certificate which is necessary for the setup of the member's site as an eligible ecommerce site.  The member contact from the ecommerce agreement will be notified via email from to verify their identity by following the link in the email. Our developers will then receive the verification of identity and proceed with the activation of the member's web site.

3. Ecommerce team will provide instructions for accessing the site editor. Site editor and setup will reside within the Ecommerce Hub at The member will then follow the basic set up steps outlined [HERE] and then activate their site. The Ecommerce team will receive notification for the site activation and finalize the activation within 24 hrs.
