Also known as a cabbage turnip, this beautiful bright, purple colored vegetable has juicy sweet bulbs and leaves that can be cooked and have a collard flavor to them. Select sunny location and sow seed as soon as soil can be worked and continue to sow at two week intervals until 4 weeks before fall frost. Cultivate soil and enrich with vegetable food.
