Vinyl vs Aluminum 

Downspouts and gutters are made of either vinyl or aluminum. Aluminum is a stronger material that lasts longer than vinyl. Vinyl is less expensive. Both require gutter and downspout supplies to install and connect them. Gutter hooks attach gutters to the roofline, and gutter connections hold the individual pieces together.
