Early Spring:  Apply Jonathan Green's Veri-Green (formerly Green-Up) with Crabgrass Preventer to feed your lawn with it's slow-release nitrogen and nutrients needed for a beautiful green, thick lawnIt feeds for up to 3 months.  Also, prevent crabgrass before and after it germinates (up to a 3 leaf stage) with this product that has Dimension herbicide.

Late Spring:  Apply Jonathan Green's Veri-Green (formerly Green-Up) Weed & Feed which feeds and kills unwanted weeds all in one.  It controls dandelion and over 250 broadleaf weeds with three active ingredients for superior weed control.  Feed desirable grass longer with its slow release nitrogen fertilizer while weeds gradually disappear from your lawn.  We can also give you advise on how to get the best results using this product.

Summer or anytime during the growing season:  Apply Mag-I-Cal Plus Natural Soil Food for lawns in acidic and hard soil (typically found in northeast Indiana, northwest Ohio).   It rapidly rises soil pH, helps loosen heavy, hard-packed soils and promotes air and water penetration for better rooting.  It feeds and activates soil microbes and maximizes plant absorption of lawn food nutrients.  It's like the primer for paint!  It is a must using at least once a year.

Late Summer and Fall:  Apply Jonathan Green's Winter Survival Fall Lawn Food is formulated to keep your lawn greener later into the year and is ideal for winter turf protection. 4% and 3% sulfur help keep the lawn a deep green color.  This fall/winter formula contains humates to promote root growth and stores nutrients for spring.

Beautiful Lawns start with great grass seed.  Jonathan Green's Black Beauty Grass Seeds has naturally dark-green color, a waxy coating (like the skin of an apple) to preserve moisture, and a uniform texture.  Its naturally occuring endophytes make it insect and disease -resistant and its ability to grow foots up to 4 feet deep keep moisture in the grass plant when it becomes hot and dry.
