All of us know that keeping water around for our pets is a must at all times, but during hot months we also need to keep our pets from overheating in other ways too. Plastic pools can be a great way for your pet to cool off and relax when the sun just gets too hot, especially if you have an outdoor only pet. Also, it's best to try and keep the pool in shade if possible or consider a canopy.

If you don't have a pool for your pet, you can use a hose with cold water to cool him or her down, but experts say that a pet pool is the quickest way to cool down a dog.
