Blow-in insulation (also known as loose-fill insulation) – a technique designed to fill stud or joist cavities and insulate attic floors with loose materials boasting excellent R-values. Various materials like styrofoam pellets or loose fiberglass fibers can be employed, but the most commonly used option is cellulose material.

Crafted from recycled newspaper, cardboard, and other wood-based elements, blow-in cellulose undergoes treatment with boric acid and other additives, rendering it flame-resistant and mold-resistant. This eco-friendly insulation is conveniently packaged in densely compressed bales or bags. The installation process utilizes a specialized mechanical blower/hopper, stirring the cellulose material with paddles to aerate and blend it with air. The resulting fluffy insulation is then directed through hoses to the desired areas, ensuring effective and energy-efficient insulation.
