Our Story
For nearly a century, Attica Lumber Company has been a trusted name in construction, lumber, and building materials throughout Attica, Seneca, Huron, and Crawford Counties, and the surrounding Northwest Ohio region. Our roots run deep, shaped by four generations of dedication, craftsmanship, and community pride.
1925: Founded by R.F. Cook shortly after World War I, driven by his passion for lumber and construction.
1954: Leadership passed to R.F.’s daughter, Marjorie, and her husband, Fritz Miller, who carried the business forward after World War II.
1976: Steve Stanek, Marjorie’s son-in-law, stepped in to expand operations and guide the company through shifting economic landscapes.
2008: The fourth generation, Josh Stanek, joined the team, continuing the family’s tradition of growth, quality, and service.
