Bath Design Services in Farmington, Ste. Genevieve & Bloomsdale, Missouri
At Farmington Building Supply Co, County Home Center, and County Do It Center, we work directly with homeowners, contractors, and property owners across Farmington, Ste. Genevieve, and Bloomsdale to plan and complete bathroom projects from start to finish. Whether you're updating an older bathroom, improving accessibility, or building new, we guide you through the process with real design support and access to a full showroom experience in Ste. Genevieve.
We serve customers throughout Ste. Genevieve County, St. Francois County, and surrounding communities like Park Hills, Desloge, Leadwood, Pilot Knob, and Bismarck, helping bring bathroom projects together with the right products, layout, and planning.
Where to Start Your Bathroom Design Project
We offer bath design services at all three locations, but our full showroom and in-house designer are based in Ste. Genevieve. If you want to see complete displays and work through selections in person, that’s where the full experience happens.
If you're closer to Farmington or Bloomsdale, you can still start the process locally. We’ll meet with you by appointment, talk through your project, and then coordinate with our designer. When it’s time to make final selections, we’ll bring you into the Ste. Genevieve showroom so you can see everything come together.
A lot of our customers move between locations during the process. Some start at their nearest store or even meet us on the job site, then come into Ste. Genevieve later to finalize details and layout.
Bathroom Projects Across Southeast Missouri
Most of the bathroom work we help with across St. Francois County and Ste. Genevieve County is remodeling. One of the most common upgrades we handle is converting a traditional tub and shower into a walk-in shower.
We do a lot of these projects using Onyx shower systems, especially for customers who want something easier to use and built to last. It’s a practical upgrade that makes a big difference, especially for accessibility and long-term comfort.
We also see a wide range of priorities depending on the customer. Some are focused almost entirely on function, especially in older homes or when accessibility is a concern. Others are trying to balance function and appearance, and higher-end builds tend to focus more heavily on aesthetics.
Across the board, bathrooms in this area are getting larger, with more attention given to layout, storage, and usability.
Fixtures, Materials, and Product Selection
When it comes to materials, we work with products that our customers rely on every day. That includes Onyx Collection showers and vanity tops, WW Wood Products cabinetry, Bertch cabinetry, and fixtures from Delta and Moen.
A lot of decisions come down to budget, but we also spend time talking through how long you plan to be in the home and how the space will be used. Some customers want something that works for now, while others are focused on making sure this is the last time they have to remodel that space.
One combination we use on a lot of projects is pairing Onyx systems with WW Wood Products cabinetry. It’s a setup that consistently works well for both performance and overall layout.
We also help customers think through smaller details that make a difference day to day, like adding shelves, caddies, and storage features inside the shower.
How Our Bathroom Design Process Works
We follow a clear, step-by-step process so nothing gets missed along the way.
We start with an initial consultation where we talk through the scope of your project. From there, we move into product selection, take field measurements, build out an estimate, finalize the layout, and then place orders.
Every part of that process matters. If we’re missing measurements, product details, or layout information, it can lead to issues later. That’s why we take the time upfront to make sure everything is right before moving forward.
Our design experience also helps prevent common problems. We’re looking at things like door swings, vanity placement, and spacing to make sure everything works the way it should once it’s installed.
Most projects fall in the 16 to 20 week range depending on what’s involved and the products selected.
Supporting Homeowners, Contractors, and Projects of All Sizes
We work with a mix of homeowners and contractors on bathroom projects, with most jobs centered around mid-range single-family homes.
Each customer comes in with a different approach. Contractors are usually focused on staying within budget while still delivering what their customer wants. Homeowners are often trying to get everything they want while making smart decisions on cost. Landlords tend to prioritize price and durability.
No matter the situation, every bathroom project involves coordinating multiple materials, and we help keep all of that aligned so the project moves forward without unnecessary delays.
Local Design Expertise and Ongoing Support
Bath design services are built around a personalized and hands-on approach. Customers work through the process with direct support rather than navigating decisions on their own, which helps improve outcomes and reduce uncertainty.
Having multiple locations across Ste. Genevieve County and St. Francois County makes it easier for customers to start projects, ask questions, and stay engaged throughout the process without needing to travel far for every step.
Support continues after the project is complete. Assistance is available for warranty issues, product replacements, and future updates or additions, helping customers maintain and build on their investment over time.
