W. R. Case & Sons has been a household name for many years with its roots tracing back to 1889. As the story is told, four Case brothers began making hand-crafted knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. John Russell Case started working with his father and three uncles . In the early 1900’s, he formed the company we know today as W. R. Case & Sons, naming it after his father William Russell Case. Beginning with World War 1, Case has manufactured knives for the U. S. Military and have been a part of many defining moments in our nations' history. Case knife handles are made up of a variety of natural materials and the stamped blades are made from domestic steel using various methods of hardening.

At James Do It Best, we have been a Case Authorized Dealer for the most part of our 40 years in business. We carry a great line of the collectors favorite patterns as well the new Case designs that have been patented in recent years. Many of our customers started carrying and collecting Case knives when they were younger and are now passing down that tradition to their children and grandchildren.
