Smokin Brothers Hot Rod is used to ignite the pellets in the fire pot. Either control is programmed to activate the hot rod for the first four minutes the grill is turned on and then turns off. If the Hot Rod fails to operate, the pellets can manually be lit using a fire gel to continue cooking until a replacement can be installed.
