Since 1951, the Schauer family has been in the hardware business. Today Wayne’s son Richard Schauer continues the family’s hardware tradition. Schauer's Hardware is a staple within the Forest Park business community and throughout town. Active in all community events on Madison Street, their favorite activity is the annual "live window" display during the Holiday Walk. Like his father Wayne and mother Sandy, Rich Schauer is known for his best winner window displays.
