Valu Home Centers Presents Habitat for Humanity With a Check for $134,490!
On Monday, August 10th we presented Habitat for Humanity with a check for $134,490!
This amount brings our 23 year fundraising total to $3.4 million. The presentation was broadcasted live on WKBW during their AM Buffalo segment with Linda Pellegrino, and was followed by our drawing for the winner of a 2015 Ford Focus.
Amy Harten from Bradford, PA was randomly selected from over 100,000 tickets to take home the grand prize!
Ron Talboys, President of Habitat for Humanity Buffalo accepted the donation on behalf of the 17 affiliates in the communities that Valu Home Centers serves. All of the donations raised stay in the area where they were collected, so all donors give where they live. Representatives from 14 Habitat affiliates were present to accept their individual checks.
We are sincerely grateful to our generous customers who make this fundraising effort a success each year.
