Members of the Valu Home Centers Team volunteered their time to spread a little holiday cheer -- putting up lights, hanging garland, and going through a serious amount of tinsel.
This initiative puts the do-it-yourself knowledge of the Valu Home Centers Team in action through service to our community. Volunteers for this event included team members from our location in Tonawanda, as well as our corporate office in Buffalo.
Each holiday season, members of B Team Buffalo organize a grassroots event called City of Light. The goal of the initiative is to decorate a neighborhood in the city so that it shines for the holidays. Volunteers spend time decorating the streets and adding a sparkling touch to houses in the neighborhood.
It may have been cold, but that didn't stop our volunteers from getting the job done -- and with a smile!
The crew did such a great job that they won the silver award for home decorating.
