Valu Crew Volunteers & B Team Buffalo City of Light

On December 5th, 2016, Valu Crew joined B Team Buffalo to decorate a neighborhood for the holidays!

Members of the Valu Home Centers Team volunteered their time to spread a little holiday cheer -- putting up lights, hanging garland, and going through a serious amount of tinsel.

Valu Crew volunteers take an active role in bettering the communities that we serve, and amaze our customers with their hard work and dedication.

This initiative puts the do-it-yourself knowledge of the Valu Home Centers Team in action through service to our community. Volunteers for this event included team members from our location in Tonawanda, as well as our corporate office in Buffalo.

The B Team is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting a lasting sense of civic pride in the Greater Buffalo area.

Each holiday season, members of B Team Buffalo organize a grassroots event called City of Light. The goal of the initiative is to decorate a neighborhood in the city so that it shines for the holidays. Volunteers spend time decorating the streets and adding a sparkling touch to houses in the neighborhood.

It may have been cold, but that didn't stop our volunteers from getting the job done -- and with a smile!

The crew did such a great job that they won the silver award for home decorating.
