Valu Home Centers Partners with Colvin Cleaners and Channel 4 News for Coats4Kids

This winter, Valu Home Centers is thrilled to be an official drop-off location for the Coats4Kids campaign! In partnership with Colvin Cleaners and Channel 4 News, we’re proud to help bring warmth and comfort to families across Western New York. Through this wonderful initiative, new and gently used coats—as well as hats, gloves, and scarves—are collected, cleaned, and distributed to those who need them most.

Making Winter Warmer for Our Community

Coats4Kids, organized by Colvin Cleaners, collects winter essentials for children and families and then ensures they’re in excellent condition before giving them out. Donations are professionally cleaned by Colvin Cleaners and sorted for distribution to nearly 100 local organizations, including St. Luke’s Mission and Friends of Night People. This way, families across Western New York receive fresh, warm clothing to face the colder months ahead.

Now’s the perfect time to clear out those closets! The campaign may be called "Coats4Kids," but we’re accepting donations of all sizes, as adults need warmth, too. Simply drop off any winter items—coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and even boots—at any Valu Home Centers location. We have bins ready in-store to make donating easy and accessible.
