We’re excited to announce a brand-new partnership between Valu Home Centers and Explore & More - The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children's Museum to bring creativity, learning, and DIY fun to the youngest DIY-ers through Build & Play: Valu Home Centers Jr. Workshop!
This hands-on program invites children to build, decorate, and take home their own DIY project - all while developing important tool safety skills in a fun, encouraging environment!
The Jr. Workshop offers a wide range of developmental benefits for kids of all ages:
Fine Motor Skills
Tool use and building activities help strengthen hand and finger coordination—skills crucial for tasks like writing, cutting, and tying shoes.
Creativity & Imagination
Kids get to design and decorate their projects however they like, sparking creativity and encouraging artistic expression.
Self-Expression
DIY activities offer a powerful outlet for kids to express their emotions and individuality in a fun, hands-on way.
Problem-Solving Skills
As kids assemble their projects, they learn to troubleshoot, adapt, and find creative solutions.
Self-Confidence
There’s something magical about completing a project from start to finish. Kids leave with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Collaboration & Communication
These workshops also offer a great opportunity to work alongside peers, developing teamwork and communication skills.
The first event in this four-part series will take place on Saturday, April 26th from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Explore & More Children’s Museum. The workshop is included with museum admission, so all you need is a ticket to join the fun!
