Valu Home Centers Named 2016 Community Partner By Chemung County Habitat For Humanity
We are proud to have been selected to receive the 2016 Chemung County Habitat for Humanity Community Partner Award!
Andy Hakes, Store Manager at our Elmira, NY location, along with Assistant Manager Brett Gardner accepted the award on behalf of Valu Home Centers from Sara Lui, Executive Director at Chemung County Habitat for Humanity.

In 2016, Chemung County Habitat for Humanity hopes to:
- Complete at least 2 new homes
- Complete 20 Home Repairs
- Help at least 45 people with their Healthy Home program
Andy Hakes and Brett Gardner are proud to lead their Team at our Elmira location during our annual Habitat for Humanity fundraiser.
Their feelings are that "Habitat for Humanity isn't just a fundraiser, its a partnership with our Company. Building and repairing affordable housing is a significant and meaningful mission to Habitat, Valu Home Centers and our generous Customers. Being a partner with Habitat for Humanity has given us the opportunity to reach beyond the Valu Home Centers Store walls and help positively impact not only the community as a whole, individuals as well."
