In July 2023, Tim and Carlie Antes purchased the local Do it Best hardware store from longtime owner Gene Mercer. Backed by the support of their family, loyal employees, and countless friends, they officially opened the doors to Antes Family Hardware on Black Friday 2023.

While entering the hardware business wasn’t their lifelong plan, Tim and Carlie have always believed deeply in the power of community. Their vision for the store is simple: make everyday necessities available locally while continuing to provide quality service to the people of Syracuse and nearby towns.
