From Eli Bliffert: What It Means to Be Named a Top Workplace
I’m honored to share that Bliffert Lumber has been named a 2025 Top Workplace in both Southeastern Wisconsin and the Madison area. This recognition means a great deal to me—not just as the fifth generation in our family business, but as someone who works alongside some of the most dedicated, hard-working people in the industry.
What makes this award special is that it’s based entirely on feedback from our employees. The survey, run by Energage, is completely confidential and measures how our team members feel about working here—whether they feel respected, supported, empowered, and able to grow.
Knowing that our people feel heard and valued is the greatest reward we could ask for.
One of the ways we support a strong workplace culture is through our partial Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). It’s our way of making sure that our team shares in the success of the company. When the business grows, our employees benefit. We believe that when you have a personal stake in what you’re building—literally and figuratively—it changes the way you show up each day. It creates pride, accountability, and a true sense of ownership that fuels everything we do.
Our family has been in this business for six generations, and we’ve always believed that treating people right—our employees, our customers, and our communities—is the key to long-term success. This recognition is proof that we’re continuing to live out those values.
To every member of the Bliffert team: thank you. This award belongs to you.
