BROWNSBORO HARDWARE 2025 CHARITY RECAP

Louisville, KY — Brownsboro Hardware & Paint closed out 2025 with another extraordinary year of charitable giving, marking a record-breaking year of fundraising while also celebrating a significant milestone: the company’s 65th anniversary of serving the Louisville community.

Throughout the year, Brownsboro Hardware & Paint raised and donated tens of thousands of dollars to support hunger relief, veterans, children, restaurant workers, and dozens of local nonprofit organizations. Once again, these efforts earned the company recognition as being among the top ten small businesses in Louisville for corporate giving, a distinction it has received multiple times.

A centerpiece of the year’s fundraising was the annual Big Green EggFEST Food Festival, which raised more than $42,500 for Kentucky Harvest and A Recipe to End Hunger. The popular event brought together food enthusiasts, local partners, and community supporters, with proceeds helping to provide meals for families facing food insecurity across the region.

Brownsboro Hardware & Paint also played a leading role in the Wreaths Across America campaign, helping raise the funds necessary to place 11,400 wreaths on veterans’ graves at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery during the holiday season. For only the second time in the cemetery’s history, every veteran’s grave was honored with a wreath, made possible through generous community donations collected at both store locations.

In addition to these major initiatives, Brownsboro Hardware & Paint raised thousands of additional dollars for organizations including Jude’s Jingle Tree, APRON Inc., which supports restaurant workers in crisis, the Crusade for Children, and dozens of other local charities and community causes throughout the year.

“We invest in the community that invests in us,” said Doug Carroll, owner of Brownsboro Hardware & Paint. “The community has blessed us, and we have an obligation to give back to those who gave us so much.”

Known for its product quality and tremendous service, Brownsboro Hardware & Paint remains strong after 65 years of serving St. Matthews, Louisville, Prospect, and all nearby neighborhoods. The Better Business Bureau has awarded Brownsboro Hardware & Paint its top award for ethics, and the national hardware magazine HBS Dealer has recognized the store as Kentucky’s top hardware retailer over the past decade.

Brownsboro Hardware & Paint has two locations: 4858 Brownsboro Road in Louisville and 9521 US 42 in Prospect. Visit Brownsborohardware.com for additional information.
