Lant Hardware opened its doors to the public on March 27, 2023, but that’s not the beginning of our story…

Jeff and Angie Lant found a love for renovating houses (and shopping hardware stores) as they pursued other careers and raised a family. Jeff retired from the Nebraska City Police Department in May of 2019 and took over the primary role of maintenance in their rental houses and apartments. This quickly evolved into another business where the Lant’s found themselves painting and doing handyman work throughout the local communities.

After prayer, many conversations and meetings, The Lant’s decided to move forward, purchase the Mercer building, and open a new hardware store…Lant Hardware!

Today, Lant Hardware is affiliated with “Do It Best” and sells products commonly found in hardware stores, much like Mercers did. In addition to this, the Lant’s have added GE appliances to the many other products offered.
