About Us

After owning East Troy’s local hardware store for most of the last 43 years, Mike and Rosemary Martin retired during the Summer of 2021. They sold Martin’s Hardware & Pet to a young couple (Terry and Laura Harris) with the hopes of them continuing the legacy of being East Troy’s local, family-owned hardware store for the next 43 years.

Terry, Laura and their staff have worked hard to maintain what East Troy has come to love and expect from their local hardware store. At the same time, they have focused on making Martin’s Hardware & Pet the first and best choice for customers when it comes to getting supplies and knowledge regarding home-improvement projects or their pets. Terry and Laura look forward to continuing to grow Martin’s Hardware & Pet over the coming years.

Our favorite part of owning a local hardware store is getting to know customers and the projects they are working on. You will often see us around the store with our loveable Goldendoodle named Milton who comes to work with us daily. Milton absolutely loves meeting customers, and is known to walk down our bulk treat aisle for frequent “quality control” samples of treats. Next time you are in the store, please be sure to say hello! Furry friends are also always welcome in the store on leash.
