Giving Back to Our Neighbors

Martin’s Hardware & Pet believes that if we want people to shop local, we need to give back to our immediate community of East Troy and Walworth County. We donate pet food and supplies regularly to Lakeland Animal Shelter in Delavan. In addition, in our store entrance we are proud to host a collection bin for Lakeland Animal Shelter that gets picked up regularly. With the help of our generous customers, this Spring (2022) we were able to donate an entire car load of pet food and supplies using the donations from this year’s Pet Pictures with Santa event. 

Along with help from East Troy Auto Recyclers, we host a community aluminum can recycling program to raise money for local causes. Behind our store is a collection area for aluminum cans, and after they are recycled, we use the money collected to donate to an East Troy or Walworth County charity. Our last donation from this program went to the East Troy Family and Community Resource Center to support their Holiday Help program which brings Christmas gifts to families in need in East Troy.

In addition to these regular programs, we frequently donate raffle/silent auction items to local events within the East Troy community. Our entryway features a community bulletin board where local organizations can advertise for upcoming charitable and non-profit events. Lastly, our entryway also features a collection bin for the East Troy Food Pantry where we continually collect non-perishable food items to donate to our local food pantry.
