In order to keep the funds local to the Valu store where they were collected, we work with 15 different Habitat for Humanity affiliates to distribute the money raised across each of the markets we serve. Our grand total of $108,300 donated in our 25th year of fundraising will be split up among each of these affiliates to help further their individual projects.
On August 2nd, we were joined by representatives from Chemung County Habitat for Humanity, as well as some of our other Central NY affiliates who are served by Valu Home Centers stores outside of the Elmira area. Our media partner WETM News was on the scene to share our story with the local community.
Later in the day on August 2nd, we were joined by representatives from Syracuse Habitat for Humanity, as well as Valu Team Members from our Syracuse area stores.
On August 3rd, we were joined by board members, volunteers, and representatives from Erie Area Habitat for Humanity, as well as Valu Team Members from our Erie, PA stores. Our media partner WJET News was on site to share our story with the community.
