ASSISTANT MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for customer focused assistant managers. The ideal candidate would have a strong customer service mentality, a willingness to learn life long useful home improvement knowledge and skills, and be open to a flexible schedule in a retail environment. Your main duties will be to work closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions. You may also be responsible for opening, closing, task delegation, inventory management, and daily deposit supervision. You will also be responsible for working alongside management and fellow employees to maintain the store’s visual appearance and help monitor performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service and a customer first mentality
- Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on products and their features
- Follow and achieve store sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases
- Maintain in-stock and presentable store conditions in all areas
- Carry out other store administrative tasks as directed by the store manager
- Assist store manager in many aspects including, but not limited to, implementing Best Practices, monitor staff performance, respond to customer inquiries, and assist in merchandising projects.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- A friendly, positive, customer focused attitude is a must
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and multitask in a retail environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Time management and ability to prioritize tasks given
- Ability to react appropriately under pressure
- Willingness to learn about new items and procedures quickly
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift up to 50lbs
STORE ASSOCIATE

Your main duties will be to work closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions. You will also be responsible for working alongside management and fellow employees to maintain the store’s visual appearance and inventory.
