Our Leadership Team
Christian Herrick, President and CEO
Christian is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Randy's Hardware, Inc., and son-in-law of founders Randy and Shirley. He began his career with the company as a part-time floor sweeper and inventory taker in Timberville, progressing through a manager-in-training role before opening the Bridgewater location as Store Manager in 2011. After nearly three years in that role, he was promoted to Vice President of Retail Operations, and two and a half years later, to his current position as CEO.
In 2016, Christian was named one of eight Young Retailers of the Year by the North American Retail Hardware Association, a prestigious industry honor recognizing outstanding young leaders in retail hardware.
Christian currently serves on the boards of the North American Hardware and Paint Association, the Rockingham Educational Foundation, Inc., and the Farmers & Merchants Bank Community Advisory Board.
Rachel Herrick, Vice President
Austin Diehl, Chief Operating Officer
Austin Diehl is the Chief Operating Officer of Randy's Hardware, Inc. He was promoted to this position after serving as Director of Retail Operations for over five years, and prior to that, he managed the Timberville store for nearly three years. Austin was recruited by Christian and a former employee from a local big box store, where the work-life balance had stopped working in his favor.
In 2023, Austin became the second member of the Randy's Hardware family to be named one of eight Young Retailers of the Year by the North American Retail Hardware Association — a rare honor made even rarer by the fact that two recipients have come from the same company.
Austin grew up in the Winchester, VA area and later moved to Harrisonburg to attend James Madison University.
Adam Liskey, Operations Manager
Adam Liskey began as a part-time sales clerk at the Bridgewater store, where he helped open the location from the very beginning. He quickly moved to a full-time role, and after about two years on the sales floor, stepped into management as the Bridgewater Team Leader. About a year later, he was promoted to his current position as Operations Manager.
Adam's background spans computers and home improvement. His father is a well-known local contractor who kept Adam busy throughout his childhood.
Sarah Berry, Marketing Coordinator
Sarah is the Marketing Coordinator for Randy's Hardware. She studied nursing at Blue Ridge Community College and comes to us after time in the medical field and 14 years raising her family. Over the years, she has also served several local nonprofits and remains active in local politics, currently serving on the Timberville Town Council.
In 2025, Sarah was named a Rising Star by HBS Dealer as part of their Top Women in Hardware & Building Supply recognition.
Randy Andes, Founder
Randy is the founder and namesake of Randy's Hardware, Inc. He began his career in hardware retail at 18, working for a local hardware store in Timberville. After two years, he joined another local hardware operation and spent the next 30 years building his expertise before retiring, and promptly starting his own store.
Over the course of more than 20 years, Randy grew the business into a multi-location operation. He has since transitioned into retirement, passing leadership to the next generation while continuing to share the deep institutional knowledge he has accumulated over a lifetime in the industry.
Randy is an active member of the Broadway-Timberville Business Council and the Rotary Club of Broadway-Timberville, where he has served as an officer for many years. He has also held an officer role with the Bowhunters of Rockingham for many years.
Shirley Andes, Co-Founder
Shirley is the co-founder of Randy's Hardware, Inc. Before joining the business, she spent her career as Office Manager at Howell Metal, where she developed the organizational expertise and attention to detail that she brought to Randy's Hardware from the very beginning.
Known for her encyclopedic knowledge of the store and her ability to tackle just about any problem, Shirley has been an indispensable part of the company's foundation and growth.
