How does a Big Green Egg differ from other outdoor grills?

While the concept of a kamado-style, ceramic grill has been around for centuries, the Big Green Egg folks have perfected it. Using modern technology and the very best materials, they’ve created the absolute best version of the ceramic grill.

That starts with lighting the charcoal. This process is made easy thanks to precision air flow control at the bottom of the grill, a sealed fire box that holds our proprietary charcoal, and adjustable top vents that control the air flow out of the top of your Egg.
